The Axis Journeys website sets one cookie of its own for visitors, axv, to count visits (see Visitor statistics below). Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots. Staff who sign in to our editing tools get a sign-in cookie.

These stay in your browser, are never sent to us and you can clear them at any time.

Visitor statistics

We count visitors ourselves, with no third party. The axv cookie holds an anonymous code, so that a return visit is not counted as a new person. It lasts 13 months from your first visit and is not renewed. We use it only for our own visit statistics, never for advertising, and share it with no one. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we do not set it. Without it, a visit is still counted, but you cannot be recognised from one day to the next.
