Privacy Policy

Who we are

What we collect

• Your name and how to reach you (email, phone or WhatsApp), when you send a brief or a message.
• Your travel wishes: dates, nights, who is travelling, resorts you liked and your message.
• The page you wrote from, your language and currency, so that the specialist knows what you were looking at.
• Your IP address and browser type, only to stop spam and abuse. Our staff do not see them.
• For a confirmed booking: each traveller’s full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and expiry, and flight times, because the resort and Maldives immigration require them.
• Children’s ages and dates of birth, when you book or brief with children.
• Payments are made on Stripe’s secure page or by bank transfer. We never see or store your card number.
• An anonymous code in our own visitor cookie (axv), to count how many people visit. It is kept 13 months, and you can turn it off on the Cookie preferences page.

How we use it

To reply to you, prepare quotes and manage your booking. We use your details for marketing only if you agree, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.

Who we share it with

• The resort, the transfer operator and the Maldives authorities, for a booking you have confirmed.
• Stripe, when you pay by payment link.
• Companies that run our systems: Amazon Web Services (servers in Mumbai, India), Cloudflare (delivers and protects the website) and our email service.
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to talk to us there. WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply to that conversation.
• Some of these companies are outside your country.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal duties, including the tax and accounting records UAE law requires. Passport details are deleted after your trip. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after a reasonable period.

Visitor statistics

We count visits without cookies. Each visitor becomes an anonymous code that changes every day. We do not store your IP address or your full browser details for this, and you cannot be recognised from one day to the next.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you and for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop using it for a purpose, or ask us to send it to you in a common format. Write to privacy@axisjourneys.com. We reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
