Most villas stand over the Medhufaru lagoon, and nearly every category has its own slide into the water. The Den spreads across more than 1,500 sqm with pirate ships and water slides and is included for ages 4 to 17. Cinema Paradiso screens films over the lagoon at night.

The seaplane takes 40 minutes and needs you in Malé by 15:30; later arrivals fly to Maafaru and take a 10-minute speedboat, or overnight near the airport for the 09:00 seaplane. Island Retreats and Reserves suit larger families, while the Water Reserves suit couples. Seaplane luggage is capped at 25 kg per person.
Families who want a large jungle island with big beach estates of up to nine bedrooms are better placed at Soneva Fushi.

Seaplanes need you in Malé by 15:30. After that, the option is a domestic flight to Maafaru and a 10-minute speedboat, subject to the flight schedule, or a night near the airport and the 09:00 seaplane the next morning.
Water Reserves sit over open lagoon and most have slides straight into the sea, so families with toddlers may be happier in the Island Retreats, Island Reserves or the Beach Hideaway. The Den is included for ages 4 to 17 and babysitting is available for under-4s.

The seaplane allows 25 kg per person including hand luggage. On the domestic flight it is 20 kg checked plus 5 kg hand luggage.
