The verdict

The seaplane takes about 25 minutes and flies in daylight only; the speedboat is about 90 minutes and depends on the sea. Families with children under 12 must book beach villas, because overwater villas are not offered to them.
Families with young children who want to sleep over the water, and anyone wanting a big choice of restaurants. Kuramathi Maldives suits them better.
