The Platinum Plan is the only board and it is generous, covering the bars, a weekly specialty dinner and three excursions per person per stay, so there are few bills at check-out. The house reef is easy to reach from the beach and South Ari’s whale shark and manta sightings are within dive-boat range. The resort states it caters for halal diets, which matters for Gulf families.
The verdict
Who it suits, and who it doesn’t.
The seaplane only flies in daylight, so an evening landing from Dubai means a night near the airport. Entry Beach Villas have no private pool; book a Beach Suite with Pool, Lagoon Villa or water villa if that matters. Whale shark and manta sightings are seasonal, so confirm timing before building a trip around them.
Travellers who want a private pool in every villa type should look at Sun Siyam Iru Veli Maldives, and those who need a same-night transfer after a late flight are better at speedboat-access Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives.
Getting there
Seaplanes fly in daylight only. Daylight only; international arrivals 06:00–15:30 connect the same day. Land later and we route you via an overnight near Malé or a domestic flight — decided with you before we quote.
