Every villa sits over the lagoon with a ladder straight into the water, a private jacuzzi and, in all but one, a plunge pool. The premium all-inclusive plan covers the three restaurants, a daily-restocked minibar, afternoon high tea and non-motorised water sports. At 15 minutes by speedboat, it is one of the easiest overwater stays to reach after a late flight.

What to know before booking
Only the premium all-inclusive plan is sold, and everyone in the villa must be on it. Choose between morning light (19 Sunrise villas) and evening light (26 Sunset villas); the four Honeymoon Villas are larger and more private. There are no beach villas, and the island is small, so this suits a short, restful stay more than a long one.
Who it isn’t for
Families, since nobody under 18 is accepted, and anyone who wants a beach villa or a big island with lots to do. Families should look at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.

No. Vadoo is adults only and does not accept guests under 18. Families are better placed at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.
Meals at Farivalhu, Kithajima and Kakuni, afternoon high tea, a minibar restocked daily, a long list of cocktails, mocktails, wines and spirits, snorkel gear and non-motorised water sports. Longer stays add extras such as a dolphin trip or a beach dinner.
