Vakkaru covers couples and families equally well: the Parrotfish Club gives free supervised care for ages 3 to 12, and the villa range runs from 115 sqm beach villas to a 1,050 sqm four-bedroom overwater residence with its own chef and butler. What to know before booking
The Overwater Villa has no pool; the Overwater Villa with Pool (from October 2026) and the Overwater Deluxe Pool Villa do. Half board and full board cover Amaany, Onu and Isoletta, so budget separately for Vakku, Anguru Teppanyaki and Vakkaru Reserve. November to April is the drier season.
Who it isn’t for
Travellers landing late who want to be on the island the same night should look at Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives, 30 minutes by speedboat; those set on a full wellness programme should consider JOALI BEING.

Arrival
Seaplane over Baa
A 30-minute seaplane from Malé, check in from 14:00 and a first dinner at Amaany on the beach.
Day 2
Reef morning
Snorkel the house reef or take a guided trip with Splash; children head to the Parrotfish Club; Asian dinner at Onu.
Day 3
Spa afternoon
Yoga at the pavilion, then a treatment at Merana Spa and time in the hydrotherapy area; sunset drinks at Lagoon Bar.
Day 4
Island evenings
Tennis or pickleball in the cool of the morning, lunch at Isoletta, and a film at the Jungle Cinema after dinner at Vakku.

Last swim
Breakfast at Amaany, a final swim and the seaplane back to Malé; check-out is at 12:00.

The standard transfer is a 30-minute seaplane. The resort also offers a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo followed by a 30-minute speedboat; ask the resort which option works for your arrival time, or plan a night near the airport.
Supervised group care at the Parrotfish Club is complimentary for children aged 3 to 12 during opening hours (08:30–18:00). Under-3s are welcome with a parent or babysitter.
